San Fran. – deux

San Fran. is different. Walgreens and Starbucks within 2 blocks of the next. Cool mornings with foggy mist that could lead to a sunny/partly cloudy day…or not. Saturday morning Matthew and I urban-hiked to China Beach. It was quite amazing. The weather was perfect, the day was clear and all was just right.The beach is famous as the place Chinese miners would arrive and camp during the gold rush. We ate lunch on the beach, during one of the best weather days in the last few months. The view of dolphins, sail boats and Golden Gate Bridge were quite stellar. Sunday, Matt, Elizabeth and I went to Oakland for a food festival. The festival was crazy nuts, and we spent very little time enveloped in that, but spent much time in Heinold’s First and Last Chance! This has to be one of the coolest joints on the planet.
